Valencia is a short flight away from most European cities, and is just as easily accessible by road, railway or sea. From both the airport and the train station the congress venue can be reached by taxi in 10 minutes, depending on the traffic.

Valencia Manises Airport is located only eight kilometres to the west of Valencia. The city centre and the Conference Centre can be easily reached:
By taxi: The Conference Centre and the Headquarters' hotel are easiest reached by taxi. As a rough indication, a taxi from the airport to the Conference Centre will cost between € 20-25. For more information please click here
By metro: Two Underground lines link the airport with the city centre: line 3 and line 5. To reach the Conference Centre and the headquarters' hotel, it is best to take line 3, and change at station Benimaclet to line 4, stop Palau de Congresos. From Madrid multiple trains per day service Valencia between 06.45 - approx. 21.00 hrs. The journey takes only between 1.45 and 2.15 hours depending on the type of train.
From Barcelona, the train takes you to Valencia in 3 - 3,5 hours. Most of the trajectory runs along the coast offering beautiful sea views.
A discount of 30% is available for registered ESCCA attendees for travel within Spain (not valid for international travel). To apply, you first need to register for the conference, as you will need to fill in your registration number on the Renfe booking form. After you have registered and received the confirmation of registration, please contact the Registration Office Parthen by email (firstname.lastname@example.org), to request the Renfe booking form and your registration number.
Spain is a Member-State of the European Union and has ratified the Schengen Agreement. Citizens travelling inside the E.U. just need to display their police I.D. Card without the need of a passport. However, a passport is necessary for a number of other transactions, such as currency exchange, purchases, etc.
Delegates who need a visa should apply directly to the Greek embassy or consulate in their own country. Please note that the organisers cannot contact embassies or consulates; the delegate is solely responsible to apply for the Visa. However, the Registration Office will be pleased to provide you with a Letter of Inviation; please see the Registration page for the requirements to apply for such a Letter. Please allow sufficient time for your visa application!
