Conference venue

The Conference will be held at the Palma Convention Centre, ideally located 8 km from Palma airport, near the Portixol neighbourhood, Palma beach and the historic centre. Bus number 1 leaves from the airport every 15 minutes and brings you to the Convention Centre within 15 minutes. A taxi transfer will take 5-10 minutes.

ESCCA has been given a moderate room block against reduced room rates and favorable conditions in the Meliá Palma Bay. This 4-star hotel is connected directly to the Convention Centre. You are advised to secure your room as soon as possible via the Hotel page, as the room block is limited.

The historic city centre can be reached on foot via the promenade along Palma Bay in approx. 25 minutes, or in some 10 minutes by one of the public buses that stop in front of the Convention Centre. You can also rent a bike from the hotel and reach the city centre via the cycle path along Palma Bay.

Palma

Located next to the Mediterranean Sea and near the heights of the Sierra de Tramontana mountain range, Palma de Mallorca is quite attractive due to its location, its history, and its heritage.

Some highlights:

  • La Seu, its iconic cathedral, is one of the most spectacular Gothic cathedrals in the world.
  • The Joan Miró Foundation, dedicated to the figure of this brilliant Catalan artist who built a strong bond with the Balearic capital in the later stage of his life
  • The Jewish Quarter. Palma was an important medieval city and, as such, it had its own Jewish Quarter. It formed a kind of independent city which was also walled and had its own entrances.
  • The Arab Bath, one of the most emblematic monuments in Palma and, without a doubt, one of the great legacies of Muslim architecture in all of Mallorca. During the visit, you will see the large central room surrounded by columns which is dedicated to the steam baths and was part of a private residence.
