From Schiphol Airport to Utrecht

From Amsterdam Airport Schiphol, a direct train departs to Utrecht Central Station every 15 minutes. Travel time is 30 minutes.

We strongly advise you to buy your e-ticket in advance, this is easier and cheaper than buying a ticket at the vending machine. These tickets are also available as mobile tikcets.

Note that a return ticket is only valid for travelling on the same day, so you will need to buy 2 separate one way tickets per travel date.

Purchase your train e-ticket via the NS (Dutch railways) website.

Travelling with your (e-)ticket

You always will need to check in, and check out. You can do this at a pole or gate at the entrance to the station. At Schiphol airport, scan your ticket in the Schiphol Plaza area before descending to the platfom. You will find the yellow pole next to the stairs or escalators of each platfom, situated on the left hand side of Schiphol Plaza, near the exit doors. At the Utrecht station you can scan your ticket at the access/exit gates.

Visas

Delegates who need a visa should apply directly to the Dutch embassy or consulate in their own country. Please note that the organisers cannot assist with the application. The Registration Office can issue a Letter of Invitation, provided that you have registered and paid for the Conference. After you have registered and paid, please send a request to the Registration Office by email to registration@parthen.nl, stating your full name, institute details (name, city), email, date of birth, place of birth, passport number and expiration date of the passport. The Letter of Invitation will be emailed to you within 5 working days. Please note that this letter of invitation does not imply any financial responsibility for ESCCA and/or the organisers.

Please make sure to allow ample time for your visa application and that you submit all the requested information to the embassy. Abstract presenters should do so immediately after receipt of the notification of acceptance.

In case your visa application is rejected, you can ask for a reimbursement of the registration fee until maximum 14 days before the start of the Conference. Proof of the rejection needs to be sent together with your request to registration@parthen.nl. The paid amount minus administration costs of 100 euro will be reimbursed, subject to approval by ESCCA.
